We are pleased to announce we have a stellar selection of bright talent whose work will be on sale in the gorgeous market town of Haworth! The work includes; art and illustration, textile art, jewellery, lamp glasswork, knitwear, photography and gorgeous gifts. There is also going to be delicious pizza by Dough it Yourself, so come and eat, drink, say hello and be sociable!!

The venue is at the Old Schoolrooms where all the Brontë siblings taught at some point in their short lives. Well worth a visit and right next door to the Parsonage, where they grew up.

Hello! It has been a while!

Well, hello there! It has been a long time since I’ve announced an event. You can thank lockdown for that. Things got so quiet for such a long time that it felt like the new normal. But the great news is, things are starting to move again (albeit slowly!).

I will keep this short and simple.

Exhibition

This month, up until 10th July, I am exhibiting work at Todmorden Information Centre. The work that I am showing is influenced by the Yorkshire landscape surrounding us, here in Todmorden. Todmorden Information Centre is a font of all knowledge when it comes to places and events around our lovely town and they also support local artists as well as selling a range of gifts with a Todmorden or Yorkshire theme. The address for Todmorden Information Centre is: 15 Burnley Rd, Todmorden OL14 7BU.

Artists & Artisans Fayre

I am also taking part in this lovely fayre!

Not only will it be brimming with an array of wonderfully talented artists but It is in Haworth, right next door to the Parsonage. That was where the Brontës lived! In fact, the Old School Room was built by Patrick Brontë and all the sisters taught there some time in their short lives. Haworth is such a beautiful place to visit, so we are excited that this is the location of our first fayre since before lockdown began.

To get you in the mood you can visit an actual exhibition of 27 Open Studios artists at Hebden Bridge Town Hall now. It's open daily this week from 8.30 - 4, ending noon on Saturday.

Then to warm you up for the online weekend Hebden Bridge artist Kate Lycett is hosting a conversation with gallery owners Alison and Paul Bartram (Heart Gallery and The Yorkshire Gallery) and Terry Brett (Pyramid Gallery, York).

Tune in to our Youtube channel at 7.30pm next Thursday, October 8, for some fascinating insights into the art scene of Northern England.

The Lockdown Blues - Again!

Once again, Calderdale, along with Leeds, Manchester and parts of Lancashire are under lockdown again. Boo! Just as things were starting to get back to a more normal way of life. I know it is for our own good but I can’t help but be very disappointed. So, anyway, just for fun, I thought I would print my own commemorative social distancing mug to remind me of these strange times. Would you like one? Message me and I can get one printed for you :)
